Gani Mohammed: Police frees Ayedatiwa's aide after spending five days in detention
A former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa, Gani Mohammed Ajowa, has reportedly been set free by the Nigeria Police Force.
Citizen Rapporteur earlier reports how Gani was nabbed some five days ago over an alleged controversial Facebook post linking the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, to violence and anti-party activities in the course of the council election in Ajowa Akoko.
The information having to do with his arrest became public knowledge some three days after his arrest through the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore whose whistleblowing blew the secret story to the public.
While this development remains a clear attestion to an emerging powerplay in Ondo's All Progressives Congress (APC), Governor Ayedatiwa has gotten knocks over the arrest of his aide under his nose.
Meanwhile, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, has reportedly denied responsibility for his arrest.
He is said to have been freed as at news time.
